Gluten Free Emergency Kits are produced by our sister company, Mixes From The Heartland Inc. Our Celiac Sprue Association approved factory is 100% free of wheat, rye, barley, oats and their by products. In addition to being tested in house, all products are Eliza tested at the University of Nebraska’s lab at less than 5 ppm for wheat.
Located in the Panhandle of West Texas, our new factory is over 30,000 square feet, and is completely dedicated to manufacturing Gluten Free products. We proudly produce our products using only the highest quality natural, freeze dried foods offered on the market. We are also known for our family sized portioned meals.
Products are sealed using Foil bags containing oxygen absorbers. The average shelf life for each product is 5 – 7 years, when stored properly.
What makes us different?
Unlike other long-term food storage companies we have no cross contamination issues since our production rooms and warehouses are free of wheat, rye, and barley. While some of our competitors suggest that they are Gluten Free, some of them have factories that have wheat, rye, oats and barley in their facilities. If applicable, this can pose two potential problems, Gluten contamination which is air-born and using the same machines to run Gluten Free products and wheat related products. Even the most thorough cleaning can leave traces of Gluten behind.
